Jean-Luc and Frédéric Ribes, President of the association of the Fronton wines, took over the 26 ha Château Le Roc property in 1988. Their five plots are located on wide terraces with an alluvial soil composed of gravel and stone between the Garonne and the Tarn Rivers, about 20 km north of Toulouse.
Red wines and rosé are mostly made from 3 varietals: Negrette (60%), an aromatic native grape variety, Syrah (25%), and Cabernet Sauvignon. Low yielding grapes produce wines with maximum concentration of aromas.
Very good value, Château Le Roc wines are wonderfully fresh, delicate and rich in nuances of spices and fruits such as blackberry and cherry.
