| THE WINERY | |
 |
Château Mas Neuf is located in the Rhône Valley, south of Nîmes. This wonderful estate of 60 hectares belongs to a young and dynamic wine-grower, Luc Baudet. The soil is mostly composed of well washed alluvium and pebbles from the Villafranchian era. Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, the main grape varieties, enjoy an amount of sunshine similar to that in Provence or Languedoc. However, the typicity of these wines comes from the gentle thermal winds from the Mediterranean.
Labels refer to the terroir, the history of the region and the first inhabitants of Nemausus, the VOLCEARECOMICS. Their coins, found in the vineyard, bore the first four letters of their name ‘VOLC’. They can now be admired at the Nîmes archeological museum.
Luc Baudet’s Costières de Nîmes wines are produced in white, rosé and red. Their colours are sunny and shiny whereas their flavours are refined, complex and authentic.
Well-balanced and fresh, these wines display charm and delicacy.
