Jacques and Francois are the sons of the renowned Bordeaux producer, André Lurton. They set up their own company in 1988 and planted vines in 6 countries (Argentina, Australia, Chile, Spain, France and Uruguay) in order to produce fine and easy-to-drink wines. Each cuvée has its own style but they all have an excellent quality-price ratio.
Chile is a country where the climate allows producing unique wines with a strong typicity. Alka completely confirms this statement. It is made with Carmenere only. This grape variety was once heavily planted in the Bordeaux region but it has disappeared from France. Jacques and François Lurton’s teams have learnt how to vinify Carmenere in order to give birth to a rich wine with notes of ripe fruit with some spice (rosemary and thyme).
A wonderful reflection of the grape variety and of the terroir.
