Jacques and Francois are the sons of the renowned Bordeaux producer, André Lurton. They set up their own company in 1988 and planted vines in 6 countries (Argentina, Australia, Chile, Spain, France and Uruguay) in order to produce fine and easy-to-drink wines. Each cuvée has its own style but they all have an excellent quality-price ratio.
Great wines are produced every year in Argentina. Jacques and François Lurton bought two estates : one in Tunuyan, south of Mendoza, at an altitude of 1 100 m and the second site in Barrancas, on a plateau to the east of Mendoza at an altitude of 600 m. These sites were selected for the quality of their soil but also for their particular climate.
Gran Lurton is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec. The wine is very deep red in colour with slight purple hues. On the nose, notes of wood and freshly picked fruit are followed with a wonderful suppleness and powerful aromas.
