	THE WINERY

	The vineyard : Located south of the town of Angers, on the village of Martigné-Briand ; the vineyard of Olivier Cousin stretches over 12 hectares. The grape variety is mainly Gamay, but you will find also Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Grolleu and Chanin. The temperate climate regulated by the Loire and the ocean, the ecosystem and its microflora, the grape varieties selection, the choice of cultivation and traditionnal production methods ; are as many guarantees of quality of Olivier Cousin’s wines. The products of the vineyard, certified « biodynamic » are the result of a strong conviction of the owner « if traditionnal production methods do not help to extend the vineyard ; it is a real daily pleasure to work that way. If I had to reduce my vineyard to only 7 hectares to save my passion, I would dot it ». As a proof of his philosophy, the wine-grower is still using a horse for ploughing while a mare still brings the grapes to the wine storehouse during the grape harvest. This finally produces wines with a strong personality, that you should discover without further delay…
