Every expression of the Grenache 
Respect for the terroirs, respect for the wines : these are the master words of the family Izarn, owner of this domain implanted under the sun of the Languedoc, not far from Saint-Chinian. The cépages Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah which put together this grape harvest are exercised and vinified according to unsprayed agriculture.
Tannish but very balanced, it will satisfy the lovings of the Languedoc, looking for a generous and fattened up with sun red wine.
Sampling:
Eye : nice ruby color
Nose : its expressive and gives desire to bite into it's black and red fruits
Mouth: strong comparing to present tanins, it reveals in mouth every expression of fruit thanks to the Grenache. The dreaded balance wine/oak tree barrel is remarkable.

| THE WINERY | |
|
In the north of Béziers, in the AOC Saint Chinian, is located a little estate called Borie la Vitarèle and owned since 1990 by Cathy and Jean-François Izarn. On their 13 hectares of gravel, schist, clay and limestone soils, these two lovers of wine and cuisine lovingly tend the beautiful vines composed of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre.
Through natural methods, delicate and strong wines spring from their work and their vines. On these poor and sloping soils, yields are naturally very limited (between 20 and 40 hl/ha) in order to obtain the authentic aromas of the terroir. After an entire destemming, a fermentation with natural yeast and a maturation process of 18 months, their wines are bottled unfiltered in order to preserve the quality of the fruit and the typical minerality of this soil.
