Taittinger
Taittinger, one of the last great Houses of Champagne to bear the name of the family who ran it until 2005, belongs now to the American company Starwood Capital Group.
The Taittinger Champagne vines cover more than 280 hectares spread among the best crus of the Champagne wine-growing area. Three varietals grow on this fabulous estate : Pinot Noir (47%), Pinot Meunier (16%) and Chardonnay (37%). This vineyard perfectly reflects the style of wines produced by the House Taittinger and in which Chardonnay is the dominant grape of the brand. Its strong presence brings lightness, finesse and elegance to the wines of this great House. The Champagne ages in the regions most beautiful cellars (on the site of Gallo-Roman chalk mines dug in the 4th century), in the city of Reims, to reach perfect maturity. |
