Nestled between the banks of the river Marne and the slopes of the Montagne de Reims, Aÿ has been the most famous wine-producing village in the Champagne area for longer than any other place. This village is famous for its Pinot Noirs used to produce harmonious and elegant wines of Champagne.
The House of Deutz was founded in this fabulous area in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, both natives of Aix-la-Chapelle. The House Deutz, well-known for the quality of its Champagne Blancs de Noirs and Blancs de Blancs, rapidly became one of the most respected names in Champagne.
Reflections of their terroir, all their vintages Deutz are only produced from the delicate first pressing that contains the finest juice, known as « jus de cuvée ». This guarantees well-rounded and balanced Champagne with good length of flavour.
