Founded in 1829 by a German originating from Wurtemburg, Joseph Bollinger, who gave his name to the brand, the world-renowned House Bollinger is one of the last Champagne Houses to be completely independent. The history of this House was deeply influenced by the professionalism and the will of a woman, Madame « Lily » Bollinger; however, she has not been the only person to leave her print and contribute to the growth of the House Bollinger.
Today, the House Bollinger distinguishes itself thanks to its 150 ha vineyards located in the best crus and composed of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. Besides, one can still find ungrafted Vieilles Vignes Françaises which were planted before the invasion of the phylloxera louse.
The House Bollinger has always controlled its expansion to preserve the high-quality products it offers to its customers. Bollinger produces Champagne with a perfect balance between vinosity, fruit and freshness and which can age perfectly.
