THE WINERY
Founded in 1859, the House Louis Jadot, today one of the leading houses in Burgundy, has been run by the Gagey family for the last 30 years. Several estates are part of the company which owns more than 140 ha of vineyards spread in the Beaujoulais and in Côte d’Or. Among the most prestigious appellations, they possess plots of land in the Appellation Volnay 1er Cru, Côte de Nuits Village and Savigny-Lès-Beaune 1er Cru.
Many winegrowers entrust the Gagey family with their own yields to vinify them. The selection of the grapes is very strict: no chemical herbicide can have been used and grapes must be of top-quality so that the terroir and the characteristics of the fruit meet in your glass. Yields are restricted thanks to the green harvests and the various types of pruning.
Exceptional wines and excellent crus are produced, which release delicate and complex aromas, highlighted by fairly powerful tannins.
