Château Clerc Milon is located halfway between Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Mouton Rothschild, in Pauillac. This Fifth Growth with its 32 hectares of vines belong to Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her children. This estate, which had fallen into disrepair, was bought by her father, Baron Philippe, in 1970. Thanks to extensive investments, Château Clerc Milon is now one of the most sought after Médoc wines which has, like many chateaux, outperformed its rank.
The label of Château Clerc Milon depicts a pair of dancing clowns made from precious stones (a work of art made by a German goldsmith in the 16th century and now housed in the Museum of Wine in Art at Château Mouton Rothschild.
