Château Potensac has belonged for more than two centuries to the Delon family, who also owns the prestigious Château Léoville Las Cases. The estate covers 53 hectares of vines planted on a clay and gravel land and located in Ordonnac, Gironde.
Château Potensac is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon which is blended with an old and rare grape variety ”Carmenere” which used to be widely used in the Médoc region.
Its aromas are typical of the Médoc wines with notes of red fruits and spices. Château Potensac regularly turns out wines of classed growth quality even if it only has a Cru Bourgeois designation and that it was accorded Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel status in 2003.
