| THE WINERY | |

Château La Lagune covers 150 ha of which 75 hectares are planted with the traditional Médoc vines: Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot. But Château La Lagune is also made of a wonderful Chartreuse, a long building and embellished with an elegant gate whose picture is on the label. Built in 1730, this lovely mansion has been entirely renovated and shelters La Lagune’s history.
Third Grand Cru Classé in 1855, Château La Lagune owns one of the most perfect gravel hillocks in the Haut Médoc, in Ludon-Médoc. Owned by the Frey family, château La Lagune goes on with drawing its strength from tradition while leading a real revolution in the fermenting room. In this uncommon place, nothing is left to chance (gravity, numerous sorting tables, a ligth crushing).
La Lagune wines are known for their elegance and balance, two features which typify the great Bordeaux wines. Gorged with fruit, these wines age very well and have an excellent quality-price ratio. The best plots give birth to the first wine of the estate, Château La Lagune, whereas the second wine is mostly produced with younger vines.
