In 1959, Michel Baylet took over Château Landereau which was in a very bad state. He worked particularly hard to make Château Landereau one the greatest AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, AOC Bordeaux Clairet and AOC Entre-Deux-Mers estates. Bruno Baylet is now working with his father in this domaine located between the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers.
The vineyards spread over 71,5 hectares of a fabulous terroir whose soils are composed of light sands, red clay and gravel. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds and Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle for the whites share the different plots of Château Landereau near the villages of Sadirac, Loupes and Créon.
Château Landereau AOC Bordeaux Supérieur wine has a pleasant nose of fruit and spice. In the mouth, its attack is supple, delivering well-structured and velvety tannins.
